One of my Greatest Passions
My Name is Cheryl Johnston (aka Cheryl Hattrup) and I am initially from South Africa. I am a mother of two daughters and a grandmother of two boys (one an infant and the other a toddler). My faith, my family, my adopted country, and my love for Organizing are some of my greatest passions.
I have been in the organizing field for more than 20 years and started my own successful Professional Organizing Business 12 years ago in the Central Valley in California. A couple of years ago my circumstances changed and I passed over my business to my partner to run. Now two years later I have decided to return to my first love, organizing, with not only a new business but a new last name after my recent marriage. Organized Your Space along with my bear logo, represents the strength that we can find, in those darkest moments in our lives. So I'm not very good at adulting when it comes to my house. It's a constant mess. Partly because I'm lazy and partly because we have zero storage space and too much stuff. Cheryl came last week to give me an estimate and game plan to get my life in order. She is very patient and understanding. She offered a lot of very helpful advice and recommendations for some practical storage solutions. I would def recommend this business if you need help organizing your home or office!

Prior to contacting Cheryl,
I had no clue as to where to begin organizing our home.
My husband lost his late wife of 40+ years and while we wanted to keep her memory alive, we knew that in order to make this our home, something needed to be done as most oh her and her parents treasures filled
Every wall, nook, cranny,closet and shelf, were filled with their belongings. I was overwhelmed by the task at hand.

The problem occurred when my stash became a living problem! Growing from closets, cupboards, and drawers onto tabletops, hallways and and every spare crevice I could cram more stuff. In desperation, I finally called Cheryl from a local magazine ad. First, we tackled my Master bathroom. She's brilliant, quick and always sees steps ahead. Very professional. When she was finished, everything had a home. There were labels for every drawer, shelf and cupboard. My Master Bathroom looks like a model home. Shiny and sparkly again. I actually love getting ready, yes, hair and makeup! She works her magic in every area of my home. I purchased a package of 20 hours and she devotes 4 hours per area. She does not stop until an area or goal is complete, including labels. She also offers homework for those meticulous time consuming tasks that I've enjoyed at my leisure. Cheryl has brought the joy and luxury back into my living space. My house is no longer just a storage space but a living space. Home sweet home. Thank you Cheryl, you're the best! If I could use just one word to describe Cheryl it would be, "magical." I don't know how she does it! Cheryl just has an orderly mind and is able to easily solve the problems that have been causing me problems for years! The first week she came we worked on the garage and it was over 90 degrees outside! We were both covered in sweat by the time we were done, but I really appreciated how she was not afraid to roll up her sleeves and get dirty hauling and moving trash and junk in my garage. She is not judgemental at all about any type of clutter/messes that have been acquired over the years and sincerely wants to help you. I am so much happier and more at peace in my home since we have started working together. I do not have a huge house, but I wouldn't classify it as a tiny home either, and with 5 people living here it is so important to maximize space and keep it tidy.
